Yakkin' with BWO

Well, we are winding down for the season...we will be open FOUR MORE DAYS!  We want to clear out all of the inventory, so make an offer on that kayak you have been wanting!  Instead of marking down stuff, we will just be negotiable on anything you may be interested in...Open Wednesday, January 6th, through Friday January 8th, 10am-6pm, and Saturday January 9th, 10am-4pm.  After that time, appointments will be available, so leave a message at 757-653-9223.

We will be busy planning for our spring and summer activities, getting the rental fleet and the vehicles in order, and will be ready to reopen in March.  It is time NOW to enroll for Encore Learning Spring 2016 Session!  Check out the spring catalog!  We will be out on the water every week!

We hope everyone had a Happy Holiday!  Thank you to all of our customers who helped us to have a good Christmas.

The river is up, and the weather is unseasonably warm! Come on in and stock up on gear and take advantage of our "Try Before You Buy" policy.  We are not going to bother physically marking down our inventory, we are just going to MAKE PRICES NEGOTIABLE...  Try out that boat that you have been eye balling, and MAKE an OFFER! We will be open Wednesday through Saturday, closed Sunday through Tuesday, but we are always willing to make an appointment.  Just leave us a message at 757-653-9223,or email to info@blackwateroutfitters.org.

 We close for the winter on January 10th, and will re-open in March, ready for Spring!

We have been blessed with fantastic fall weather.  Our rentals, trips and Encore Learning Classes have been going full swing!  With Thanksgiving coming upon us next week, it is time to think about gift layaway for Christmas!  We will offer package deals and specials, such as free package delivery within 25 miles of the shop!  Stay tuned!

Blackwater Outfitters is always seeking a special person to join our team.  This person needs to possess an interest in the local rivers, the outdoors, and be interested in the kayak and canoe industry.  Prior knowledge & experience is a plus, but the inexperienced with a curiosity for the business is encouraged to apply.  Basic computer & communication skills a must.  Must be reasonably fit, and able to perform heavy lifting.  Must be able & prepared to work outside in all types of weather.  Our work is seasonal, so you have to be able to "go with the flow" sometimes regarding your schedule.
